Denby and Derby

We left the Chatsworth site mid morning and drove down to the Denby pottery visitor centre and outlet centre near Ripley. We had lunch there after finding a few more bits.
We called in to see Clare and Jack in Derby for half an hour, by which time it was raining.
It was very wet and dark by the time we arrived home at 5 o'clock

Chatsworth Awayday

We are at the Chatsworth Christmas Fair today. Last night we stayed in a pub yard at Wingerworth and had a nice pub meal. We bought a few interesting goodies for Christmas from the fair which was much the same as last year. Missed the house Alice in Wonderland tour which sounded a bit tacky.
Then we finished off in the farm shop with a tea cake and coffee and bought some more nice seasonal food to take home.
Stopping at the Cc site tonight. Nice fresh November weather and it stayed dry for us.
